Established in 1996, Indraprastha Apollo Hospital is part of the Apollo Hospitals Group, India’s largest healthcare chain. Located in Sarita Vihar, Delhi, it was set up in collaboration with the Government of Delhi.

In 2005, it became the first hospital in India to receive accreditation from the Joint Commission International (JCI). It was re-accredited in 2008, 2011, and 2014, making it the first hospital in India to be accredited four times.
