Dr. A.K. Kriplani is a nationally recognized leader in the field of laparoscopic gastrointestinal and bariatric surgery. With over 40 years of experience, he is widely acknowledged for his contributions to the advancement of minimally invasive surgery in India. Dr. Kriplani is the Past President of the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons (IAGES), and his fellowship programs in the field have been highly regarded and widely acclaimed.

He made history as the first in India to perform laparoscopic adrenalectomy and laparoscopic splenectomy, marking significant milestones in the field of laparoscopic surgery. Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Kriplani has been associated with numerous prestigious institutions, including Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, AIIMS, New Delhi, Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi, and Sitaram Bhartia Institute, New Delhi.

Currently, he is serving as the Principal Director & HOD in the departments of Laparoscopic GI, GI Oncology, Bariatric, and MIS Surgery at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Kriplani takes a keen interest in educational activities and research, contributing to the development of the next generation of surgeons.
